This course covers Oracle's PL/SQL blocks, procedures, functions and triggers.

At the end of this course, the student will be prepared to:

· Describe PL/SQL.

· Use Oracle's third generation language PL/SQL to build blocks, procedures and functions to access data in an Oracle database.

· Use Oracle database triggers.

This course will prepare candidates for the first Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) exam.

Audience

This course is for students new to Oracle and the PL/SQL language.

Prerequisites: Before beginning this course, students should:

· Have taken A-140 Introduction to Oracle: SQL, 

· Have exposure or experience with some SQL database (CA-Ingress, DB/2, IDMS/R, Informix, MS SQL Server, RDB, Sybase, etc), Or, 

· Be an Oracle Application Developer interested in pursuing DBA certification, Or, 

Have experience on legacy systems wanting to migrate to an open systems environment.
